Spine Adjustments

Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health. The most common therapeutic procedure performed by doctors of chiropractic is known as "spinal manipulation,"  also called "chiropractic adjustment." The purpose of manipulation is to restore joint mobility by manually applying a controlled force into joints. Tissue injury can be caused by a single traumatic event, such as improper lifting of a heavy object or through repetitive stresses such as sitting in an awkward position with poor spinal posture for an extended period of time. This is one of the many spinal treatment techniques we use at Princeton Family and Sports Chiropractic.

Carpal Tunnel

Carpal tunnel, as well as any number of other local entrapment neurpathies, is a type of condition that chiropractic can treat effectively. Carpal Tunnel can be complicated as it often results from multiple causes. To solve the issue it is necessary to trace the nerve back up into the neck. The treatment is often times at the wrist, the elbow, shoulder, or neck. Getting to the true cause --or causes-- and correcting it without surgery, using EMG to detect the cause, using adjustments and low level cold laser, is what we do here at Princeton Family and Sports Chiropractic.

VAX-D Treatment

 VAX-D is a patented medical technology that gently stretches the spine and decompresses the discs. 
Patients are treated fully clothed and are fitted with a harness that fits around their pelvis as they lie face down on a motorized Table. A Certified VAX-D technician operates the Table from a computerized console.  Each treatment takes about 45 minutes. Most patients find VAX-D to be comfortable, and relief of pain can usually be noticed in the first few sessions.
